Beige bags

I went shopping with my boyfriend the other day, and I came across the cutest little backpack ever !!

Although the style is really similar to the one sold at Longchamp, the color and quality of this Dooney and Bourke bag is much, much sturdier and better. I saw it for around $109 at Nordstrom Rack, but it's still being sold online full price  ($188)! That's about 40% off the price! I'm really contemplating about whether or not I should purchase it. They also had this lovely wine color too, which I can't seem to find online. Ahh! Choices. Choices. This khaki color would definitely go with every single outfit, but the wine color is more simply put, unique.

This can be found @:

On the other hand, here's a bag that I've been eyeing since Christmas 2012.

Ahh.. but every girl has to have a Longchamp right? I am really loving the Longchamp Le Pliage Medium Tote in the color "Natural" right now. It would make the perfect weekend bag, vacation bag, etc. etc. It's sold at Bloomingdale's for $125, compared to the online retail price of $145, not much of a bargain, but money saved is money saved.

I'm definitely leaning towards the backpack. TOO CUTE TO RESIST IT.

As always, thanks for reading ! (:

The End of Life Itself

According to the June 2013 issue of Wired Magazine (Lizzie Wade), here's how the world is going to end:

"WHAT TO EXPECT:
In about a billion years, atmospheric CO2 will be depleted and plants die off. No more photosynthesis means no more oxygen. So a few million years later, animals start to suffocate. Since placental mammals (like, say, humans) need more oxygen than other animals, we go first. With their lower oxygen requirements, migratory birds hang on through the mammalian extinction by striking out for cooler climes. but as temperatures continue to rise, these creatures eventually run out of places to go. As the soaring temps evaporate the oceans, fish get stranded in rapidly shrinking puddles. When the temperature climbs above 130 degrees Fahrenheit, insects succumb. One hundred million years after the last plant perishes, only microbes survive. Their last refuges are likely ice caves- on the equator. That's because the moon isn't close enough to stabilize our planet's orientation in space anymore, so Earth could tip on its side, turning the climate inside out. But eventually even the microbes die of thirst. Life on Earth officially ends 2.8 billion years from now, when temperatures hit an untenable 296 degrees."

Oh my goodness. That is a horrible way to die. I haven't used my running shoes yet because I don't like being unable to breathe. I have no stamina and my legs always feel like they're on fire when I'm running. After five minutes, I just want to quit altogether. I can't even imagine how torturous this is going to be for future future generations, but then again, technology may have advanced so much, that everyone and everything will survive. I'm currently reading The Host by Stephanie Meyer. It's really not as good as everyone hyped it up to be. Of course, I only wanted to read the book because it was written by Stephanie Meyer. I remembered how much I enjoyed reading Twilight in middle school. Given the choice, I really can't decide which is more preferable, getting extinguished by alien lifeforms or getting extinguished by nature itself.    Anyways, I'm still reading, so there's always hope for a good climax in the next four hundred pages or so. And then, I guess I'll give the movie a go too.

Thanks for reading! (:

Really Mini Shoes Haul

Phew, AP exams are finally over. I promised myself that I would begin a blog right after everything was over, and so.. TADAA!

1.  Nike Air Pegasus + 29 - Women's

The first pair was a gift from my mommy, who went to Boston smack in the middle of the Boston Marathon Bombing. I told her about it back then, and she was just like, oh? really? And she went with my grandparents the next day to visit her siblings. Unbelievable! ahahaha. She was stuck there for an extra day when that part of Boston was put on lock-down, but at least she got home okay. I had told her that I was looking for a good pair of sneakers/running shoes, and she found the pair I wanted! For a decent price too! I think it was something like $60, or so.

I've only worn these once for about half an hour, but it was as if I was in feet heaven. They're so lightweight and durable!! However, they do run half a size smaller. I normally wear a size 6, but I got these in a size 6.5 Definitely going to be wearing these when I play volleyball this summer. (Must- have summer 2013)

ON SALE NOW FOR $79.99

2.  Lucky Brand Flats/Loafers

I originally intended to purchase a pair of Steve Madden flats that I saw at DSW on a previous trip to Union Square. To my dismay, they were out of stock. With ample time left before my boyfriend got out of class, I decided to roam Burlington Coat Factory. I passed by these flats, and thought to myself, "Wow, Lucky Brand shoes? They must be 100+." As I flipped the shoe over to look at the price tag, -drum roll please- $39.99! Woot. What a bargain!

This shoe is again, HEAVENLY. This is perhaps the most comfortable pair of flats that I have ever owned in my whole entire life. It's all soft and fits perfectly. Unlike my loafers from Target, my feet don't sweat buckets in these shoes. Perhaps, it's the material? I'm so glad I found these! They'll go great with summer dresses, jeans, shorts, just everything.

Unfortunately, there's no link for these ): But check out your local Burlington Coat Factory, Marshall's, and TJMAXX.
